The Asbestosis and Mesothelioma Association of Australia (AMAA) was established to offer assistance, information and guidance to people affected and/or concerned about asbestos.
As it is largely retirees who are affected by asbestos disease, AMAA was created to offer assistance and advice to the large numbers of people with asbestos disease.
AMAA aims to highlight and raise awareness within the community of the dangers posed by asbestos exposure and to minimise the risk of asbestos exposure to future generations.
AMAA seeks to improve health and support services for people with asbestos related diseases, their families and the broader community.
Their goals are that sufferers of asbestos related diseases will be offered a better quality of life and have access to greater treatment options and care.
