Spring has arrived! Well maybe - if you don’t live in Melbourne! But I am assured that there is better weather ahead! 

***EXCITING TIMES*** for  Donate A Dollar A Week.  As  foreshadowed last month we are in the process of taking DA$AW to the next level by becoming fully Incorporated. The first step in achieving this process has been to formulate & appoint a Board of Management. The inaugural meeting of that Board was held last Friday – 1st September 2017. Now applications & submissions go forward to the relevant Regulatory Authorities for their consideration and hopefully, approval.   Watch this space for further up-dates and details about your new Board members. 

Two new donors/memberships during this past month taking our number of donors to 57. Donations remain steady at a little over $300 p/mth allowing us to maintain our monthly re-distribution of donations at $300 p/month. A great effort by all concerned and a big thank you to each one of you – our valued donors. 

We have a $25 Gift Voucher (Courtesy of Dan Murphy’s, Boronia Vic;) to the first reader or existing donor who introduces two new donors. So come on and encourage at least two of your family, friends, work colleagues etc to become donors to a good cause. A minimum of just $1.00 pw payable fortnightly, monthly or whatever suits (Other than weekly in anticipation of our future tax deductibility status!). Again just in case there is a rush of new donors do have your new donors tell us your name & e-mail address so that we can make arrangements to get your voucher to you.

Again please remember that that 100% of all donations to DA$AW go to charity. No salaries, No paid marketing, no fun runs or anything to do other than arrange a direct debit through your bank – Monthly or quarterly preferred. A minimum of Just $1.00 pw or $4.33 pcm.  Still less than the cost of a cup of coffee/latte!

Do feel free to contribute more if you can and do remember that One-off donations  are also welcome where the amount donated will be extended to represent the number of weeks your donation equates too. 

DA$AW is managed & run solely by volunteer effort so that all donations received ( other than Membership fees and  Sponsorship donations or effort) will go to our selected charities/causes – a different one each month! 

In order for us to grow we can always do with more  volunteer help. To continue our growth we can do with more help in at least  the following areas of expertise:

  • RECRUITMENT - DONORS & SPONSORSHIP
  • MARKETING:  Printing, Banners, T shirts etc.
  • EVENTS: Development, Marketing & sponsorship 

and any other help you, or someone you know, might be interested in contributing - just a little of their time & expertise -  I would love to hear from you/them.
